THE OCEANS, A SOURCE OF MARINE BIOTECHNOLOGY
Olmix has developed natural algae-based solutions, drawing on its knowledge of algae and active ingredient extraction, acquired in recent years.
A SUSTAINABLE ALGAE BUSINESS
The active ingredients used for turkey farming come from algae harvested from the western coasts of France, including Normandy, Vendée and Brittany. They are harvested in compliance with environmental guidelines developed in partnership with IFREMER.
Once washed, the algae are taken to the extraction plant. There, the active ingredients are extracted by grinding, solvent-freehydrolysis and filtration. The biological activity of theingredients is then confirmedin partnership with research organizations such as CNRS, INRA and INSERM.
